We need YOUR help to meet the increasing demand for food, clothing, and other necessities. We rely on donations from our community to supply our guests with many of the resources they need. You can also visit our updated amazon wish list to see our most needed items.
Urgent Needs
Clothing is an important part of resources available for our guests. We are currently accepting:
We are now accepting donations of fall and winter clothing, including:
Gently used men’s or women’s tennis shoes and sneakers
New underwear
Jackets, sweaters, hoodies, and coats
Gently used luggage, book bags, and tote bags
New underwear women’s and boxers
Paper bowls, paper plates, napkins, plastic utensils, disposable coffee cups, to go boxes
Coffee creamer, ground coffee, Gatorade, protein drinks, instant coffee packets, soft drinks in cans
Miscellaneous: Umbrellas, ponchos, ear buds, charging blocks
Cleaning Supplies: Mr. Clean, multi-surface cleaners, toilet bowl cleaners, glass cleaner
Laundry Supplies: Tide Pods, Clorox
Additional Needs
Phone items: New and gently used phone chargers and earbuds.
Hygiene and Beauty Items: Vaseline, perfume, deodorant, Chapstick, tweezers, razors, body wash, new hair brushes, new toenail and fingernail clippers and emery boards, body spray, hair products for African American hair.
Accessories: Belts, purses, wallets, jewelry, raincoats, umbrellas.
Food & Drink: Bottled water, individual protein drinks, yogurt, individual juices, Gatorade, coffee creamer, ground coffee, hot chocolate, instant coffee packets, single drink mix packets, hot pockets, frozen breakfast sandwiches, cashews, almonds, granola or protein bars, cheese or peanut butter crackers.
Consumables: trash bags (13 gallons and 50 gallons), 10-inch paper plates, 20 oz. paper bowls
Office Supplies: Sharpies, pens, masking tape, 8 1/2 x 11 copy paper, manilla folders
Cleaning supplies: Multi-Surface Cleaner, Lysol, Spic-n-Span, Mr. Clean Floor Cleaner, Windex, Toilet Bowl Cleaner
We are unable to accept furniture and home decor, children’s & baby clothes, baby items, toys, used cosmetics, used hygiene products, or body wipes of any kind, even if they are flushable.
Many of these donations make the greatest impact with our partners across the Triangle.
Furniture and home decor may be donated at The Green Chair Project. They provide the beautiful furniture for most of the women we house.
The Salvation Army of Wake and Lee Counties works with families experiencing homelessness, including children. The Diaper Train provides diapers and other baby necessities for families in need.
Donations are accepted Monday - Friday between 10am and 2pm
